I have all of the bolts working in a smooth buttery fashion and can't complain about any of them. However the 457 is by far my favorite to shoot because of the Description. For those who love a long sight radius, the Jaguar pairs our crisp iron sights with a 28.6″ barrel! The rear tangent sight is easily adjusted for distances from 25 to 200 meters, and the muzzle is threaded 1/2×28 for a suppressor. Although the rifle has iron sights, I ordered a cheap scope for it since my eye-sight is poor for shooting over 50 yards. The scope arrived two days ago, so I installed it and I went to a shooting range this evening after work just to sight-in the rifle and take some test shots. The 457 is updated with a slotted receiver. This allows for a markedly shorter bolt travel and smaller receiver footprint than the 455. The receiver has also been slab-sided to further reduce weight. The bolt knob runs no risk of interfering with one’s optics: the throw has been reduced from 90 to 60 degrees. Bolt action. Long barrel , the varmint is a bull barrel, great for the bench, or shooting fish in a barrel. But not a field gun. Get either the trainor 24 inch, or the grand lux , 28 inch, that’s as quiet as you are going to get with SV ammo that will kill cleanly at over 50 yards. My choices in the CZ world are between the 457 LUX and the CZ Training. I love iron sights and I can hit a spent 12 gage casing 50 yards away all the long with iron sights. I'm appealing to the experts here to please tell me what you would get IF you had the choice and why.
